Explore Callow Hall and the Peak District

Create wild memories

Callow Hall is perfectly positioned as a base to explore all that the National Park has to offer. From well-planned day trips to early morning treks along the local trails, there's plenty to see and do here in the Peak District. On the border of Staffordshire, our location presents an abundance of activities to fill your stay, with plenty to do right on the doorstep.

Head to the Coach House and plan your adventure in the Map Room. Take a Wildhive bike and venture out up the Tissington Trail and stop off for tea on the Tissington Estate. If you're a keen hiker, discover the stepping stones in Dove Valley, climb Thorpe Cloud, or plot your own route across the Peaks. Or if a pint at the pub is more your thing, don’t worry they’re marked on the map too.

Where anything is possible

Gardens and grounds

Our 35 acres of wild open space is home to gardens, meadows, woodland and streams, collectively forming a habitat for local wildlife. Take a stroll through the landscape and you'll find working beehives pollinating the newly planted orchard, the early signs of the changing seasons in our ancient woodland, and gardeners tending to the grounds who will be happy to answer your gardening questions.

Surrounding area

Perched at the gateway to the Peak District and the Dovedale valley, we're perfectly placed for anyone looking to explore this beautiful corner of the world. With a number of walking and cycling routes, historic houses such as Chatsworth, and postcard-perfect market towns and villages right on our doorstep, exploring the Peaks couldn't be easier. For those who want to raise their adrenaline levels, caving, rock climbing and abseiling can be easily arranged with professional, experienced guides locally.

Onsite activities

There's plenty to see and do at Callow Hall without even leaving the grounds. Wander through the house and chat to the team to learn how they make your favourite cocktail, or catch up with our gardeners to find out how to keep your garden looking its best. The Coach House offers interactive bikes and rowing machines, along with a sauna and treatments.
