The food we serve reflects our love for all things local. Using the freshest ingredients from the best suppliers locally, across Britain, and from our very own kitchen garden, Head Chef Tom Burton and his team have carefully prepared menus featuring everything from Derbyshire lamb koftas to line-caught mackerel ceviche. Our innovative menu is influenced by Exec Chef David Bukowicki's extensive travels, both around the British Isles and across the globe. With a choice of areas for relaxed dining, gather together for a leisurely lunch after a walk in the Peaks or settle down to a romantic dinner for two. Non-residents are very welcome.

The Garden Room
A beautiful, open space where you can get together with family and friends. Our restaurant and bar is a welcoming retreat, where sensational seasonal flavours and expertly crafted drinks from our head bartender, Micky, come together with unrivalled panoramic views across the landscape surrounding the house. This wonderful space has been designed to embrace the seasons and the changing times of the day. The interior reflects the outside – naturally evolving from day to evening. On warmer days, enjoy outside dining on the Terrace.
Perfect for those occasions that deserve a little something special, our private dining rooms, brimming with character and charm, can seat up to 32. Our friendly team are experienced in creating memorable events and will work with you to create and organise a fabulous party, so on the day, you can leave everything to us.
Freshly picked, caught, and cooked
Every month we celebrate the best of British produce, ready for harvest with our 'Best Of' menu. From the earliest asparagus crop in April to the first line-caught mackerel in July, David has created a menu to feature the freshest produce.
Sourcing from local suppliers including The Pig Paddock, Sam's Eggs, Ash House Farm Orchard and Daltons Dairy and home grown herbs and vegetables from our kitchen garden.
Gather together for a feast in our ancient woodland. Hosted throughout the warmer months, our woodland feasts can be booked by email or calling the hotel directly. Under a canopy beneath the stars, join the chef as they prepare a meat, fish or vegetarian grill of your choice, accompanied by freshly picked vegetables and vibrant salads. Illuminated by a festoon of lights threaded through the trees, we will keep you entertained and your glasses topped up. End the evening with marshmallows toasted on the firepit, surrounded by nature whilst listening out for our resident owls! We can cater for up to 20 guests.
